미국식 다이너 솔트앤버터는 심플하면서도 기본 재료에 충실한 전형적인 아메리칸 음식을 선보이는 것을 모토로, 모든 미국 음식의 기본인 소금과 버터에서 이름을 따왔다. 솔트앤버터는 르꼬르동블루 출신 오너 셰프가 운영하는 다이너인지라 아무리 심플한 음식이라도 “기본 재료”에 충실하자는 가게 모토를 다이너들의 필수 메뉴- 햄버거를 보면 느낄 수 있다.

Ieri sera, verso le 19.00, dopo la chiusura serale della Basilica Vaticana, Papa Francesco ha compiuto una visita alla tomba del Beato Papa Giovanni Paolo II, nell’ottavo anniversario della morte. Il Papa era accompagnato dal cardinale Angelo Comastri, arciprete della Basilica Vaticana e dal segretario personale, mons. Alfred Xuereb. Il Papa ha sostato a lungo inginocchiato in preghiera silenziosa davanti alla tomba di Giovanni Paolo II nella Cappella di San Sebastiano, ma ha pure sostato brevemente in raccoglimento alle tombe del Beato Giovanni XXIII e di San Pio X. Come la visita di ieri alla tomba di San Pietro e alle Grotte Vaticane, anche la visita di ieri sera nella Basilica esprime la profonda continuità spirituale del ministero petrino dei Pontefici, che Papa Francesco vive e sente intensamente, come ha dimostrato anche nell’incontro e con i ripetuti colloqui telefonici con il suo predecessore Benedetto XVI.

Pope Francis has made comments on the Shroud of Turin, the much-discussed and analyzed burial cloth that some believe shows the face of Jesus Christ, saying that it "speaks to the heart," though he stopped short of declaring the piece an official relic.
"This image, impressed upon the cloth, speaks to our heart," the Roman Catholic Church leader said in an Italian TV Easter Saturday special.
"This disfigured face resembles all those faces of men and women marred by a life which does not respect their dignity, by war and violence which afflict the weakest … And yet, at the same time, the face in the shroud conveys a great peace; this tortured body expresses a sovereign majesty," he added.
